First Dental Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children visit the dentist within six months of getting their first tooth, or by age one. As kids dentists, we understand the short attention spans of these little ones. Their first visit will be informative and fun. You can expect Dr. Kevin and Dr. Kat to spend the time necessary to relay valuable information about caring for your child's teeth, and for our team members to help your child feel safe and have a positive dental experience.

Parents sometimes ask how to prepare their young child for their first visit. Often, the less said, the better! Fun, fast, and light-hearted would be good descriptions. Avoid using words such as hurt, shots or drill. Think of positive terms like strong, healthy and clean. Our team loves children very much and will work hard to build your child's confidence at our office. We will also be happy to answer any questions or concerns parents and providers have about dentistry for children or our practice. Anderson Pediatric Dentistry is committed to giving every child Something to Smile About.
